     Mrs. Karen Grunwald was born in Manitowoc, WI.  She began her ministry at St. Paul in Lake Mills, WI teaching 5th grade from 1981-1982.  Later she also taught preschool at St. Paul in Lake Mills, WI from 1986-1989.  She taught at St. Paul in Saginaw, MI from 1995 to 1998. 

 

      She began her ministry here at St. Paul, New Ulm, in 2001 and holds a teaching license from the state of Minnesota.  In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Grunwald is in charge of the safety patrol program, science fair, helps with VBS at St. John, New Ulm, and helps with sets for the school musicals. 

 

      In her spare time she enjoys planning things and travel.  She and her husband Jim, who teaches at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, have been blessed with four children and several grandchildren.
